Literal translation, Of one.

We are all merely star dust, we are a part of this universe, as is all the life on this planet, we are all One. When you realise this the world becomes a beautiful place, because you realise you are a part of something grand. Perhaps in our quest to understand ourselves and the universe we are actually the universe itself, tring to figure itself out.

Who: My friend Scott
Where: Grand Canyon

I've been here. Amazing place..... just makes you want to... stop. And stare. And then draw something that will somehow encompass the intensity of the place.

........

and then you accidently go by one of the touristy shops *laughs*

but this is a wonderful shot.

I was impressed... didnt know it stretched to the horizon... But I did not feel... not untill I went beyone the barriers and climbed around on cliffs hundreds of feet above the river and I found an outcropping.... I sat there for a while, just the wind speaking to me, but then my friend was yellin at me from behind the protective rail hehe. I looked down and I saw a fossil... in the living rock, a frikin fossil.... it was a scallop... the river it had been where I was sitting.. and now it was so far below I could not even here it speak. Then I felt the imensity of the place. You know... now that I think of it retrospect...the grand canyon does not only give you a sense of scale... it gives you a sense of time. Some thing like that does not take a few thousand years.... hah thats just a drop in the bucket...And after that moment, I respected time. Granted time has laughed in my face and kicked me untill I couldent breath or stand anymore since then but I still repsect it.

I know exactly the feeling you're talking about. I envy you being able to walk amongst such vast panoramas. But its the same feeling I get when I look up at the clear night sky, of seeing an endlessness in which my life is less than a speck of dust. It's a humbing experience, and you can't possibly feel like your problems are really problems when you're enveloped in it, you've only been there the blink of an eye, and it'll still be there when forever comes.

Each of us has the ability to see such things, they are much closer to home than one thinks, this pic is just of one of the more touristy and well known of vistas... there are so many that people dont know of... they may not be on the same scale as the grand canyon but they convey the same sense... =) and yeah, the night sky is a perfect example, sure everyone has seen it.. but not everyone has actually looked and understood....A friend of mine had the kindness in his heart to show me saturn... I SAW saturn... with my own eyes, its rings the planet itself and even some of its moons... with my own eyes, through a teliscope... I was absolutely stunned...a picture holds but a fraction of what is actually seen. Go pray my pics convey people to go out and explore on their own to see with their own eyes!!!
We are a part of something incredibly beautiful and complex! and it needs to be seen! =D
